LATELY LOVING: FEBRUARY

February 14th is just around the corner, so this month I’ve rounded up some things I love, loosely based on the theme of Valentine’s Day. There’s my favorite shampoo/conditioner combo, which just happens to be called LOVE, gold heart earrings from my new favorite jewelry line, a punchy lip color with a funny name, and a fragrance enhancer meant to give off that enviable french girl “je ne sais quoi”, just to name a few.

Wishing you a lovely February! xo, Jennings

Love Shampoo & Conditioner: I request this combo every time I go to the salon. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling so soft and moisturized.

Heart of Gold earrings: I just discovered this jewelry line by a mother-daughter duo, called Brinker & Eliza. I saw their Love Knot necklace on a Netflix show and literally stalked the internet until I found it. Once I did, I realized I loved almost every single piece they make.

Leather Envelope Bag: I purchased this bag towards the end of last year and have been carrying it almost daily since. It’s a great medium-sized bag that looks chic no matter what you’re wearing.

Lipstick: This is my first lipstick to try from Charlotte Tillbury and I really love it. The color is vibrant and the formula doesn’t dry out my lips. The name ‘Hot Emily’ makes me laugh every time I put it on.

Rom-Com Playlist: I’m a major playlist maker, and I usually make them based around a mood or feeling. This one is made up of all the best songs from my favorite romantic comedies. Think You’ve Got Mail, Something’s Gotta Give, It’s Complicated, How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Bridget Jones Diary, and more.

The Road Back To You: I was introduced to the Enneagram personality typing system by a co-worker a couple years ago. I followed a couple instagram accounts and had fun guessing which number I was. After some time (and lots of recommendations) I decided to read this book and dive a little deeper. I found it fascinating. It helped me so much to see myself more clearly, and also understand the thoughts and behaviors of others. You’ll learn how others can be wired completely different from you, and how and why they behave the way they do. It will help you adjust your expectations of others, and have more understanding and compassion for those you don’t see eye-to-eye with.

Vanity Mirror: I just think this is so beautiful. I can’t wait to buy it (for me, or a client) and set it on a dresser or make-up vanity.

Custom Converses: I got some platform Converses for Christmas and have to try really hard to not wear them every day. They are incredibly comfortable and go with more than you’d think. When I was perusing other styles online the other night, I saw that you can fully customize your own pair! From the stitching, to the grommets, to the logo, you can literally make each part your own. Mine won’t get here until late March, but I’m so excited!

Slim Straight Jeans: Why is finding the right pair of jeans so hard? I swear, it’s like trying on swimsuits. I found this style recently and really love the fit. The rise is just right, and the legs are slim without being skinny. Bonus, they have a good amount of stretch, so they’re super comfy.

Fragrance Enhancer: I smelled this in a gift shop around Christmas and loved it! I thought it was just a regular fragrance, until I did a little more research and realized it’s actually a fragrance enhancer. It’s meant to be layered with your other fragrances to add a little something special that’s unique to each wearer. Whether it’s worn with another, or on its own, it smells great.
